Taro, or kalo leaf detail

Backlit taro, kalo, dasheen, gabi, dalo, seppankizhangu, chembu, Arvee, kochu, or karkalo leaf detail (with visible vains) of a tropical plant grown primarily as a vegetable food and secondarily as leaf vegetable. Symbol of staple foods in Oceanic and Pacific cultures, believed to be one of the earliest cultivated plants, also toxic in its raw form due to the presence of calcium oxalate.
