Hello, my name is Rebecca Tregear, and I am primarily a portrait photographer, with a passion for images created in a studio environment.

I also have an extensive and growing library of photographs outside of the studio, with many images of animals, plants and Australian places. I would like to continue to expand my work, and am open to new and interesting projects which will help produce an even more varied portfolio.

My knowledge of photography stems from many years of independent study online, in class and through practical photographic workshops.

The majority of my skills have been gained from hands-on experience, and I believe that photography is an art which cannot ever be fully learned as there is always something new and exciting to explore. It is also about having an artistic eye and natural ability, along with knowing the more technical aspects of lighting and composition.

Along with creating portraits, I enjoy all aspects of photography, especially taking photos of wildlife, gardens, and interesting scenery around the world, with a particular focus on all things Australian. I also enjoy painting, and see a real connection between the two, as light plays an important part in both forms of art.

I love music and books, and enjoy walking and swimming for exercise. I like learning new things and spend a lot of time doing independent study on different subjects.
