Echoes Of War – Townsville’s Wartime Bunkers

Townsville was a key strategic military base during World War 2. While much of the infrastructure has long gone, some of the seemingly indestructable bunkers remain. They stand in honour of the bravery & sacrifice of many soldiers, and also to remind us that war casts a shadow over all it touches. Here are a few of Townsville’s iconic bunkers.
