A young convict, Mary Reibey bought in 1828 the Argyle Precinct, a complex of buildings in the pictured area. The Cleland Store was built there in 1913-1914 and as the rest of them was adapted to various uses during their history of existence. Mary Reibey was a prominent businesswoman of her time and is featured on the Australian $20 note. .
