Images of Perth from Jeff Watkins Proofsheet

A Photo Gallery By Jeff (aka Labrug) Watkins

I have a very fond affection for Perth. While far from the oldest city, it displays such wonderful contrast in its design and colour, blending old with new.

Photo 1. London Court Clock. Found in Hay Street Mall, this iconic structure has two knights engaging in a joust when the bells chime. It is a key tourist attraction in the Perth Malls.

Photo 2. Roses. This shot was taken after the first rain which broke one of the longest dry spells Perth has seen.

Photo 3. Perth Wheel. For a very short while, Perth had its own "Eye" however it had to make way for a proposed redevelopment of the Perth Foreshore. I believe South Australia bought it.

Photo 5. Hidden Tower Hidden in some of the more secluded spots around Perth are some wonderful old style structures. This particular Fort like Tower can not be seen from the street (St Georges Terrace, Perth) as it is hidden between the building it is attach

Photo 6. Winter Roses. This wonderful rose was just crying out saying "LOOK AT ME!"

Photo 7. Perth Beacon. Perth has an eclectic mixture of old and new buildings. This shot highlights two distinct styles of building in Perth. The sun reflecting off the glass structure in the background adding to the extreme comparison.
