Kathmandu itself attracts most of the tourist attention however there are many great places to visit around the Kathmandu Valley rim. These include Balthali, Namobuddha, Dhulikhel, Nargakot and Shivapuri National. Most can be reached by vehicle but walking will improve the experience.
