Montenegro lies on the Adriatic Sea in South Eastern Europe. It is an independent nation friendly people and has some breathtaking water and landscapes. The Bay of Kotor winds through mountains to the city of Kotor, the Old City being World Heritage listed under UNESCO. It is an important destination and is very popular with cruise ships. This gallery shows images of the Bay of Kotor, Perast and the Old City.

Photo 12. Prevlaka Fortress at the entrance to Bay of Kotor from the Adriatic. It is on a tiny peninsula of Croatia near the Montenegro border. Damage from shelling during the last conflict is still quite evident on the fortress walls.
