The Bay of Kotor winds through mountains to the city of Kotor, the Old City being World Heritage listed under UNESCO. It is an important destination and is very popular with cruise ships. Photo 12. Prevlaka Fortress at the entrance to Bay of Kotor from the Adriatic. It is on a tiny peninsula of Croatia near the Montenegro border. Damage from shelling during the last conflict is still quite evident on the fortress walls.
