Tiger's Nest monastery or Taktsang Palphug Monastery, is a Buddhist monastery located on a steep cliff face in Para Valley in Bhutan. First built around 1692, but it was rebuilt after being destroyed by a fire in 1998. Although it is 900 metres above the valley, it can be accessed by mule tracks and hiking paths.
