Chitwan is the best known wildlife national park in Nepal. Located in the Terrai, south of the mountains and close to the India border, the park is home to the Asian rhinoceros, deer, tigers, elephants and a plethora of birds. Exploring the park can be done on elephant back, in a canoe, by foot or in a jeep.
