Emu Park, Queensland - the ANZAC Memorial

Emu Park is a resort town to the south of Yeppoon and east of Rockhampton. Originally known as Hewittville it was renamed Emu park probably because of flocks of the birds found near the beach. Construction of the ANZAC memorial commenced in 2014. It includes a memorial walkway that includes the spectacular headland which served as an Observation Post during World War 2.
